International Seminar on Flexible Transport (DRT)

Council Hall, Province of Asti, Piazza Alfieri 33    24 January 2011, 8:30 am

It is increasingly evident that traditional public transport in low-density areas is far less competitive than the private car. The International Seminar on Flexible Transport addressed the question: is there a way to make public transport more efficient, more flexible and closer to the needs of citizens?

The seminar examined application, planning and organisational aspects of flexible transport (demand-responsive transport), drawing on real-world experiences from Italy, Scotland, Switzerland and South Africa.
